The Faema E61 was introduced in 1961, a page in Faema’s history, and was an instant success due to its advanced technology being the first machine to use a volumetric pump and elegant stainless steel body. This legendary machine has now been re-launched. Retaining its now retro exterior, the E61 uses the same quality materials but features updated technology that bring this machine into the current day. With an automatic boiler, a built-in volumetric pump, two pressure gauges for both the pump and the boiler pressure, and a patented thermal balancing system, the E61 can certainly compete in today market. This machine is available in the semi-automatic “Legend” model and the automatic “Jubilé” version which boast dosed hot water and beverage choices.
By being the first machine to use a volumetric pump, the Faema E61 provided constant 9-atmosphere pressure throughout the duration of the extraction unlike the lever machine. This provided a much better coffee extraction and therefore, produced a much better quality coffee. Today the flavour of the coffee is further enhanced through a pre-infusion system that extends the amount of time the hot water is in contact with the ground coffee. This allows the flavours to properly be extracted and bring out the full flavour profile of the coffee to produce an espresso your customers will love.
